Perth Youth Group provides Dental Care to the Aboriginal Community

We organised a three-day dental weekend in the town of Esperance, Western Australia. The indigenous aboriginal community here has limited access to medical and dental services. For many, even basic dental hygiene items like toothbrush and toothpaste are considered luxuries. A dedicated team of experts conducted over 120 emergency and general examinations, performed more than 110 extractions and carried out 150 restorative and preventative procedures. We also provided each patient with personalised aftercare instructions, free medications, toothbrushes and toothpastes. We feel privileged to have played a role in alleviating pain and restoring smiles of this isolated community.
