From Chaos to Silence


The mind by its very nature wanders. Experience the calming effects of this simple technique of chaotic breathing to reach a state of peace

The mind is in the habit of constantly thinking. It is plagued by thoughts of the past and future. The breath is the mirror of the mind. Therefore, altering the breathing pattern for a short time can be a powerful tool to calm down mental traffic. This chaotic breathing technique will allow you to quieten inner noise and experience transformation within.

Step 1:

Sit in a comfortable position. Ensure that your head, neck and back are aligned. Gently close your eyes.

Step 2:

Begin taking fast breaths that do not follow any fixed pattern. This is known as chaotic breathing. Do this for 5 minutes.

Step 3:

Now, stop the chaotic breathing and begin deep breathing. Inhale fully and exhale completely. Continue deep breathing for 5 minutes.

Step 4:

Finally, let go of all control of your breath and allow it to take its natural course. Relax and continue breathing freely for 5 minutes.

By the end of this short 15 minute exercise, you will find that your mind’s state has altered, becoming stable and silent.
